Medical Device Manufacturing Handoff NFC Tag Kit
$399.00
Product Details
Pilot build is done. Put the approved handoff resource where the production team reaches for it.
Features
- Ten customized 30 mm NTAG215 NFC tags in NFC-A TAG’s coin format, all programmed to one workcell resource URL your team provides.
- Choose a customer-approved setup reference, launch checklist, engineering owner, training destination, or another appropriate resource.
- Choose one non-metallic sticker color across the kit. Optional custom print is $0.59 per coin ($5.90 for all 10).
Benefits
- An NFC tag on a shared workcell folio can point to the general handoff resource the team selected.
- Keeps controlled instructions, records, and approvals in the authorized systems your site already uses, under their existing access and revision rules.
- Names resource ownership and review as part of the handoff, so the link has somebody responsible for keeping it current.
Package Details
- Includes 10 customized 30 mm NTAG215 coins. The selected sticker color and the one URL you provide apply across all 10 tags.
- Optional custom print adds $5.90 for the full kit. One selected holder is an add-on for the kit. The tag is an access pointer; it does not control equipment, identify devices, track production, verify a process, certify training, manage a quality system, create a device history record, or establish compliance. A compatible phone and network access may be needed.
Pilot build is done. The production cell is next. Put the approved handoff resource where the next team reaches for it.
The Design Is Ready. Is the Workcell?
The pilot build has a home. The handoff still has a question.
The first production run is close. The setup reference is in the approved system. The fixture is on its cart. The person who knows the last open question is covering another line.
Put the pointer on the folio that moves with the work.
Keep the NFC tag in its clear holder on a short leather lanyard, secured to the designated workcell folio or tooling case. A tap can point to the customer-selected setup resource, launch checklist, engineering owner, or training destination.
Controlled instructions and approvals stay in the site's authorized system, under its own access and revision rules. A linked resource may require sign-in.
Then look at the handoff, not the search.
Less time asking where the selected resource lives. More time looking at the work in front of the team. If another tag adds another place to maintain, fix ownership before scaling the pilot.
Measure the distance between engineering and the line.
A process can be documented and still be hard to find at the moment somebody needs it. Start with a small number of approved workcell references. Track time to reach the selected resource, handoff questions caused by resource discovery, and whether each destination has an owner and review date. If the tag adds one more place to maintain, fix the ownership model first.
Compare similar handoffs. Leave training sign-off, production records, and approvals in the site's existing processes. Use the calculator with numbers your team observed; it estimates staff capacity only.
Model your own resource searches
Use observed numbers. This estimate runs in your browser and does not save or send what you enter.
Capacity value = lookups x observed minutes avoided / 60 x loaded hourly labor cost
This is not guaranteed cash savings, a quality result, or a claim about production performance. Count only eligible searches your team observed, then account for setup, adoption, and link maintenance.
Useful pilot measures: median time to reach the selected setup resource; handoff questions caused by resource discovery; links with a named owner and review date; stale or broken links found.
Find the handoff gap before you add another link.
Use the Workcell Resource Findability Audit to map one handoff, record where people look now, and name the owner for the resource destination.
A general planning aid, not regulatory, quality-system, validation, process, training, or safety guidance. Keep controlled instructions, records, and approvals in your organization's authorized systems.

Questions about Medical Device Manufacturing Handoff NFC Tag Kit
How can I use Medical Device Manufacturing Handoff NFC Tag Kit?
Use this tag to create one physical shortcut to the information or action that matters for your object, bag, tool, household item, or shared resource.
Where can I place an NFC tag?
Place it on a clean, appropriate surface or attach it to the object that should become the starting point.
What can an NFC tag open?
A tag can open a selected instruction, contact, form, manual, page, or plain-text message.
Can I change the destination later?
Yes. A compatible, unlocked NFC tag can be rewritten with the NFC-A TAG Writer or another NFC writing app. If it opens a webpage you control, update that page without replacing the physical tag.
Do people need an app to scan an NFC tag?
Usually, no. Most current Android phones and iPhones can read a standard NFC tag with their built-in NFC reader. Keep the phone unlocked, and use the QR fallback when it is included with the product.
