The cabinet is here. Bring the route to the sheet a little closer.

Features

  • One NFC tag configured for one customer-selected SDS file or approved document library.
  • Use it at one customer-approved chemical storage or use location, following the confirmed tag instructions.

Benefits

  • Gives staff a clear starting point for the organization’s existing SDS destination.
  • Keeps the sheet, ownership, and version control in the system your organization already maintains.
  • Makes it easier to test the path with real devices, permissions, network access, and a fallback.

Package Details

  • Includes one NFC tag set up for one SDS destination you provide. Custom print is optional at $0.59; no holder or SDS hosting is included.
  • It does not create, update, verify, or interpret an SDS; replace required labels, training, procedures, or your hazard communication program; or guarantee access or compliance. Confirm exact tag construction and rating before placement.
Use a destination your organization approves for this location. Keep passwords, access tokens, chemical-specific private details, employee data, and SDS contents out of the URL. The page may require your usual sign-in. Test access on site and keep your existing fallback.
Choose your sticker color

Your base is a white 30 mm NTAG215 coin. We’ll apply this non-metallic color sticker to its face.

Custom print

Print up to two centered lines inside a 28 mm safe circle on the 30 mm coin’s color sticker. The 1 mm margin keeps print clear of the edge.

One NFC tag. One location. One SDS destination.

Choose the sticker color and enter the document URL. Optional custom print is $0.59. This adhesive tag has no holder add-on.

The cabinet is here. The safety data sheet is in another system.

The SDS library is approved. The work area is ready. Someone still has to find the right file while the shift is moving.

A gloved worker holds a phone with a generic document page beside an NFC tag mounted on a closed storage cabinet.

Bring the path to the sheet a little closer.

Place an NFC tag at a customer-approved storage or use point. Tap with a compatible phone to open the SDS file or approved document library your organization selects.

A phone showing a generic PDF icon is held beside an NFC tag on a cabinet near a workplace storage area.

The document stays yours to maintain.

Your SDS library remains the source of truth. Give the link an owner, check it when the document or library changes, and test access with the devices, permissions, and network people will use on site.

Keep the organization’s approved fallback route in place if the phone, network, or online resource is unavailable.

A lime NFC tag on a closed cabinet sits beside a phone displaying a generic document icon.

A shortcut to the document. The program still belongs to you.

An NFC tag can make the path easier to find. It does not create, update, verify, or interpret the SDS, provide emergency instructions, or replace labels, training, procedures, or your hazard communication program.

Plan a one-location access test

Test the path where people need the sheet.

Start with one location. Count eligible SDS lookups and time how long the correct file takes to find. Test the NFC route under real conditions, then compare similar lookups. Include the time spent setting it up and reviewing the destination.

This estimates staff capacity only. It does not measure safety, compliance, hazard control, or emergency response.

Illustrative annual staff capacity value after review time: $0.00

Estimate = monthly lookups × 12 × observed minutes saved ÷ 60 × loaded labor rate − annual setup and destination-review hours × loaded labor rate. Use measured inputs; this is not a savings promise.

Map the access point before it goes on the cabinet.

Record the approved location, destination owner, access test, review date, and fallback route.

This NFC tag is a route to a customer-selected document. Confirm exact tag construction and mounting instructions before use. Keep the required SDS, labels, procedures, training, and fallback access in your organization’s existing program.

Questions about SDS Access Tag

What does the NFC tag open?

It opens the one SDS file or approved document library destination you provide for this location.

Where should I place the tag?

Use a customer-approved storage or use location and follow the confirmed tag mounting instructions. Do not cover or replace required container labels.

Does the tag make our workplace OSHA-compliant?

No. It is an access point only. It does not establish compliance or replace required labels, training, procedures, an SDS, or your hazard communication program.

Does the NFC tag verify that the SDS is current?

No. Your organization’s source system and document owner remain responsible for the sheet and its version control.

Can phone access replace our other access methods?

Do not remove existing access routes based on this tag. Test the destination with the devices, permissions, and connectivity staff will use, and keep your organization’s approved fallback.
